Voice, Acting and Piano

About our Voice and Acting Lessons

Children to Adults, learn proper technique with the training of one of Lighthouse’s Founding Artistic Directors who is also a Vocal and Acting Teacher who also teaches Piano lessons to littles. Students perform in Showcases where they become storytellers from acting a lyric to breathing life into a script. Each lesson is comprehensive and tailored to the needs and learning style of the student.

VOICE:

Ages 8+ : One hour PRIVATE lesson per week paid by the month on the first day of the month. ​$60 / lesson through Venmo. A $100+ Value.

Ages 4 - 17 : One hour GROUP lesson per week paid by the month on the first day of the month. Groups are no larger than 3 students who split the cost $45/student or $30/student totaling $90/group lesson. One parent/guardian only is in charge of the transaction to the instructor. A $120+ Value.

Worship Teams: Half hour Group Vocal lesson for the Team followed by Coaching the remainder of the Vocal rehearsal in harmony with the Worship Director. Weekly sessions can be purchased a month at a time with the minimum of one month paid upon registration then on the first day of the month if continual. VIRTUAL LESSONS: Lighthouse Players offers lessons virtually through Zoom! Please do not let COVID-19, or other illnesses, prevent you from keeping those folds limber and full of color and those acting skills delivering the truth of the character! VOICE LESSONS MUSIC: Students will create a musicnotes.com account, where instructor has access, in order to purchase both a hard copy and digital copy of sheet music to begin building their vocal book. The digital copy is a wonderful way for students to practice at home with the digital accompanist while being able to change keys, tempos, levels of vocal guide and more. The Pro is NOT required.

In order to keep the lesson rate at the regions average, and cover overhead costs including lesson venue, it is with appreciation the families take care of their vocal libraries they will then have indefinitely.

POLICY: Student cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) will result in being charged the full lesson due to limited availability. Text is the quickest form of notification where emails, phone calls, and in person are also accepted. Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice will receive ONE makeup per month on the first Saturday of the following month, unless there is a holiday where another Saturday will be selected by the instructor. If a lesson is rescheduled for instructor needs the funds will be credited to a future lesson.

About our Playful Piano Lessons

One of Lighthouse’s Founding Artistic Directors, who is also a Vocal and Acting Teacher, teaches Piano lessons to littles to instill the joy of learning at a young age.

Incorporating the Color Me Musical curriculum for 4 - 6 year olds. Engaging the body & mind for playful effective learning!

1st Lesson: Left & Right Hand - Identify, Color, Movement Games, Play. Learn 2 Black Notes, D Note & Quarter Rest- Meet Dave the Dragon & help him play & rest In Rhythm

“Color Me Musical (CMM) is designed for beginning students age 3 - 8. Students will be using bright colors and fun characters to learn and remember where each note can be found on the piano keyboard, and the music staff when music is written. The CMM system makes learning music theory super fun and oh-so-easy!!”

Students will purchase a level book at a time as they go through the curriculum with their teacher reinforced at home with a coloring reward system for diligence. Help them tickle those ebonies and ivories as they practice and play away!
